Movement Matters Most - March 14 & March 21, 2018
This course is designed to help participants identify ways to increase children's physical activity. This training will offer new ideas for indoor and outdoor activities using everyday items. The learner will discuss appropriate and inappropriate practices in movement. The learner will identify the three categories of fundamental movement. The learner will demonstrate the three steps of motor skills development and list basic physical activity equipment. Session will include: small and large group exercise, discussion and hands-on activities. Participants will complete a pre/post-test to assess prior knowledge and knowledge gained as a result of this training session. Participants will receive handouts and resources to use within their own programs. Participants will have an outside assignment to complete prior to attending the second session.
