Newborn Parenting: October 2017 Series
**SESSIONS WILL BE HELD ON MONDAYS, OCTOBER 23, OCTOBER 30, NOVEMBER 6, & NOVEMBER 13, 2017.**
***Each participant needs to register individually to calculate accurate numbers***
***It is recommended that this series be taken 2 months prior to delivery date***
Throughout life, we prepare for life changing events: school, marriage, careers-parenting should be no exception. These parenting classes will assist you in preparing for the birth of your child by providing a foundational knowledge to build on and resources to use when in doubt. Participants will increase their knowledge on: Importance of Parenting; How to Prepare for Baby's Arrival; What to Expect in Newborn Care; What to Do When Your Child Is Sick; Importance of Immunizations; Why is Appropriate Nutrition Important and How to Accomplish it Successfully; Importance of Dental Care and When to Start; How to Keep Your Child Safe and Preparation Techniques; and What Community Resources Does Onslow County Have Available to Assist. Learners will participate in small and large group discussions. Instructor will provide feedback on outcome mastery throughout the session and during discussion to assess knowledge gained.
