**PARTICIPANTS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND BOTH SESSIONS TO COMPLETE TRAINING SERIES**
**PLEASE NOTE TIME OF TRAINING**
Growing Up WILD is an early childhood program that builds on children’s sense of wonder about nature and invites them to explore wildlife and the world around them. Through a wide range of activities and experiences, Growing Up WILD provides an early foundation for developing positive impressions about the natural world and lifelong social and academic skills. Participants will explore crafts, art projects, music and other activities to foster learning and development in all developmental domains. Participants will be able to identify ways to help children connect to and explore nature. This training is geared towards providers who work directly with children ages 3 – 7 years and their families. Growing Up WILD promotes and identifies healthy behaviors and is designed to promote family connection. Participants will receive handouts and a variety of resources to use within their own programs. Instructor will assess knowledge gained during hands on activities and small group activities. Feedback on outcome mastery will be provided throughout the training session and knowledge gained will be assessed by individual evaluation. This course will be held by Rebecca Skiba, Regional Education Specialist with the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission.
