Advanced Fire Safety Training -June 7, 2017
**THIS TRAINING SESSION WILL BE HELD AT THE JACKSONVILLE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY- COMM. TRNG. ROOM**
This course is designed to introduce participants to elements of the Center Emergency-Fire Plan as defined by the 2012 Fire Codes. The following topic areas will be addressed during this session: Fire Evacuation, Fire Safety, Fire Plan Maintenance, Fire Plan Availability and Distribution requirements. An overview for the Child Care Center Lockdown plan will also be reviewed during this session (center lockdown plans are optional at this time). Participants will participate in small and whole group work during this session. Participants will complete a “Emergency – Fire Plan Checklist.” After completing this session participants will be able to identify elements of the plan and understand requirements for creating and maintaining their centers plan. Program Administrators will be able to assign responsibilities and familiarize all program staff with elements of the plan as identified by the 2012 North Carolina Fire Code. Site plan(s) shall be reviewed by a member of the Fire Prevention Division (City or County) during your facilities annual fire inspection.
